Pregnancy & Postpartum Care
As a mom of two, I understand pregnancy and postpartum first hand in addition to my classes and training. Pregnant patients are given a high priority with scheduling so they can get pain relief quickly. In addition to manual techniques and gentle core exercies, we will review positioning recommendations for labor and delivery and techniques to prepare for big the day.
Post partum care will focus on scar care and mobilization, assessing abdominal wall separation (diastasis recti), and pelvic floor strenghtening. We will help you get stronger for daily movements needed to care for your baby or toddler while easing back into your prior exercise routine and a healthy lifestyle. Post partum care often starts 6-8 weeks after delivery but it's never too late to make improvements in pelvic floor and core strength after baby.
Are your Bladder and Bowels controlling your Life?
I specialize in pelvic floor therapy to treat bladder and bowel dysfunction. Issues like incontinence (urine leakage), constipation, or urinary urgency-frequency might make you plan your day around the bathroom. These issues are quite prevalent but often overlooked by our doctors and not talked about in social circles. No situation is too embarrassing or too complicated to tackle. No more being passed from specialist to specialist without seeing the big picture. I will consider the whole person, evaluating your muscle and joint function as well as your posture, breathing, stress, and nutrition. Treatments are gentle and at your pace. You will learn pelvic floor exercises that incorporate your hips and core rather than just completing Kegels with a biofeedback machine.
Does your child have a bathroom problem
that you thought they would outgrow?
I have been helping kids & families with problems like chronic constipation, encopresis and bed wetting for 9 years. I keep treatments for kids fun, engaging, and non-invasive. I incorporate nutrition, massage and lifestyle management, while taking away the blame and shame kids and families are feeling. Phone consultations are also available.
Are you looking for Gender Affirming Care?
I am trained on gender affirming and transgender care. I have experience with post-operative care for vaginoplasty (bottom-surgery) with gentle hands-on care and guidance with your home program. You will be welcomed and receive personalized care in a private, spa-like setting.
